What should I anticipate during my initial dental examination at Stonebrook Dental of Frisco?

1. Your first check-up typically lasts between 40 -60 minutes. Please ensure to bring your ID and dental insurance card.
2. We kindly request that you arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. Upon arrival, you'll be asked to complete a New Patient Form, providing your dentist with pertinent details about your medical history and any other information relevant to your oral health.
3. Your dentist will commence by inquiring about your overall health and addressing any concerns you may have regarding your teeth, gums, smile, and general oral well-being.
4. Subsequently, a visual examination of your teeth, gums, and oral tissues will be conducted to assess for indications of decay, gum disease, misalignment (bite issues), and potential signs of oral cancer. Should it be deemed necessary, X-rays and photographs of your teeth may be taken.
5. Following the examination, your dentist will engage in a discussion regarding recommended treatments tailored to your individual needs. This presents an excellent opportunity for you to explore various options—be it cosmetic, restorative, or orthodontic—to uphold or enhance your oral health.
